The elimination of the JTPA program brought the Workforce Investment Initiative. This new way of moving our citizens from unemployment to employment requires a higher level of oversight by, and for, Workforce investment Boards. The three parishes involved in this innovative program have asked us to perform a required oversight function which will allow them to pool their resources and enjoy economies of scale in the administration of their program. Mr. David Creed is the lead in this program, assisted by Ms. Louise Collins and Ms. Melissa Rhodes.
